Public affairs, monitoring & CSR

Turning the tide
with positive reputation.
NBG Pangaea is the leading real-estate investment company in Greece. We have been in charge of the company’s public affairs, monitoring and CSR strategy since December 2014. Socialdoo has implemented a 360˚ corporate social responsibility plan that helped build NBG Pangaea’s reputation, and generated much-needed positive publicity for the company.

To achieve this, we focused on actions that had a visible and tangible impact, and which positively affected a wide range of social groups, all the while activating meaningful synergies across the company’s extended network. Instrumental in achieving this was Socialdoo’s extended network of influence, as well as a deep and vertical understanding of the client’s public presence.

Public affairs & networking

From bidders
to owners.
Since January 2015, we have been handling AGC Equity Partners’ public affairs and networking. The company has tapped into Socialdoo’s activated local network and access capabilities to achieve its recent acquisition of Astir Vouliagmenis hotel near Athens.

Our role involved bringing together all parties on mutual benefit, as well as coordinating and fine-tuning communications. Socialdoo played a critical role in advising, taking action when needed and achieving the best possible outcome for all involved parties.

Staff bonding
through creative
enablement.
Athenian Brewery, the largest beer producer and retailer in Greece, decided to boost its workforce and cultivate staff bonding, as part of its “internal CRS” mission. Since October 2017, we have been organising a series of entertainment workshops for the company that bring staff members together by enabling collaboration, creativity and play.

In response to the client’s brief, Socialdoo designed a programme of three art & entertainment workshops that involved music, theatre games and dance/creative movement. We developed the content for each workshop in collaboration with the artists invited to lead the workshops, and encouraged staff members to participate through a communication campaign within the company.

Boosting brand
prestige through
active engagement
Since 2014 we have been the organisers of Public Book Awards, an annual event held by Public, the biggest technology and entertainment retailer in Greece. Through the implementation of a specific concept and strategy, we have achieved positioning Public as the leading ambassador for books and literature in Greece.

To reach our goal, we developed a participatory awards model, whereby the readers themselves vote for their favourite books. The model has been widely successful and the awards have been growing steadily year after year, culminating with 250.000 votes cast and 2100 nominations from 140 publishers and 1500 writers in 2017.

Using
public dialogue
as a tool
for change
In September 2017 we were enlisted by online taxi platform BEAT to handle a crisis that involved the passing of a new bill in parliament, which would heavily impend the company’s operations in Greece. Socialdoo orchestrated a series of actions that shifted dynamics in the client’s favour, by effectively raising the issue to the level of public dialogue and making it relevant to local society as a whole.

Towards that end, we activated our network and achieved the necessary reach. We also raised public awareness and accumulated social support for the client via printed and digital media content.
